“Is the diagnostic free, and is the quote fixed?” A quote that can rise once the drive is open is not a quote. Ours is one figure, agreed before work starts, and it does not move.
“Do you charge a percentage of anything?” Percentage arrangements give a recovery firm an interest in what your data is worth and in you believing recovery is possible. We charge a fixed fee and take no share of anything.
“What can’t you recover?” The most useful question on the list. A firm with no ready answer is either inexperienced or unwilling to say. Ours is on almost every page of this site.
“Who actually does the work?” A good deal of UK data recovery is subcontracted onward, which means more hands, more transit and more people with access. Ours is done in-house, and data does not leave the UK.
