We take in servers, arrays, NAS devices and workstations for companies all over Greater Manchester. From the beginning of diagnostics we have a person assigned who will be your point of contact until you receive your recovered media, and we invoice rather than taking payment up front. We also offer collection of equipment outside working hours if there is a group of employees standing around waiting for the issue to be resolved.
Our own engineers, based in the UK, will create images of each member of server configurations, such as RAID systems, NAS devices and virtual machines, on a read-only basis. Then, they will build new instances of these configurations away from the controller that failed.
The normal response to replace a failed component is to remove the bad components and insert replacements, then begin rebuilding. This is exactly how an otherwise recoverable system becomes unrecoverable. Turn off the device, keep the hard drives in place, number them and send them to us.

All projects begin with a complimentary 48-hour diagnostic, followed by a fixed price written quote.
Generally, most work will cost you nothing if it fails. We have a 50% deposit required for physical drive-level work to cover both parts and bench time. The remaining amount due is only collected upon successful completion of the task. Forensic examination, CCTV, and data destruction are billed regardless of whether the project succeeded; prior to doing any work, we will inform you of this charge in advance (as opposed to being stated in fine print).
Shut down your system. Leave your disk(s) in their bay(s). Do not allow a rebuild operation to start, do not recreate an array, and do not recover over top of the original volume until your data has been protected. Most of the damage we have seen was done within the first hour.
Yes — both are available and included in our base service. All NDAs are signed as a matter of course. Work is always done via a single point of contact. Data is stored within the United Kingdom. Established businesses are billed after services have been rendered. Invoices include purchase order reference numbers for tracking purposes.
Yes — that is what makes a difference. While a byte-for-byte accurate copy of a file may look perfect, there could be many reasons why it would still refuse to open including the fact that the file was copied while it was in the middle of a transaction, or that it contains damaged page(s), etc., so we also check databases for structural integrity and report any affected object names.
A no-cost diagnostic is available and will be completed typically in 48 hours. Straightforward arrays can typically be recovered within a few working days after obtaining an approval; jobs needing donor parts and/or extensive imaging take longer, so you will receive your timeline with your quote.
